Executive - Network Planning

Job purpose:

·        Network Design and Optimisation

·        Alliance and Partnership Management

·        Vendor/Partner Network and Cooperation

Main tasks and responsibilities:

·    Responsible for partnership and Alliance Management  

·    Establish cooperation with other shipping companies to complement own resources, optimise the overall network incl. having competitive slot cost and improve product offering for the company.

·    Negotiate with partners on cooperation contracts.

·    Establish joint working procedures with partners.

·    Manage dispute resolution (commercial, operational, legal) with partners by having effective communication and enforce contracts as required.

·     Manage escalations involving compensations, settlements and adhoc space requirements.

·     Support the trade in effective coordination of capacity management with partners.

Education requirements:

Language requirements:

Degree/Diploma or relevant experience. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

English – Fluent (required)

Background and experience:

Competencies and skills:                            

·      2 - 5 years’ experience within Feeder/Liner shipping company.

·      Familiar with Liner cargo operations.

·      Knowledge of port and agencies procedures.

· Knowledge of Hazardous, Out of Gauge and Reefers operations requirement.

·  Knowledge of Terminal operating systems, shipping operations, vessel services and port rotations.

·      Time management and organizational skills

·    Analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills when under pressure and tight work deadlines.

·      Negotiation skills.

·      Excellent excel skills.

·      Out of the box thinking.

·      High Integrity in all dealings with vendors.
