Dear I-Lead Families, In a continuation of our communication from earlier this week, we would like to share information about how our education of students will transition beginning Monday, March 30. We will move from providing “learning enhancements” to providing “new” learning in a virtual environment.
The I-LEAD Charter School in Reading, Pennsylvania, provides 9th through 12th grade youth who are disconnected from school with the opportunity to re-engage in their education and transition successfully into adulthood. Youth will be prepared to be productively-engaged citizens in the 21st Century economy as community leaders and entrepreneurs through an educational model that integrates life skills and academic skills.
Today I-LEAD Charter School is proud to share the results of a six-month performance audit,
covering fiscal years July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2019, conducted by the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania, Department of the Auditor General, from the months of July through December
2019. This audit was done in accordance with Government Auditing Standards issued by the
Comptroller General of the United States.
I-LEAD Charter School works each day to encourage our learners to conduct themselves in a professional manner while at school. We ask that you do the same by supporting our standardized school uniform. We believe standard dress has a positive impact on learners’ academic performance and behavior, unites learners, increases school pride, and prepares learners for the outside world after graduation.
Starting school again since I dropped out was really weird to me…throughout all my situations no one gave up on me. No one judged me for being twenty and trying to make a difference in life. They guided me; they showed me how I shouldn’t be ashamed, I should be proud of myself.
I-LEAD has taught me how to manage my time more wisely and organize myself and priorities. It has helped me discover my passion and tested my abilities in the area I want to work in.
I knew I had to get my life together I just didn’t know how. I came to this school the first year it opened looking for something new, a change, a new beginning and I found it. I-LEAD Charter School gave me a second chance. Something that I needed.
